It's never too late for something like this

As any usual day I was browsing the Internet, in search of some great tunes. I was looking for something fresh, something I haven't heard in a while. And then I came across this Danish - african girl Nabiha. I was really mad that, how come I've never heard her before.
The song I chose is called  "Mind the gap" which also the title of her new album that was out in March 22. Since we have never really done a vote on this page, I d like to grab the opportunity, and post both the original and a  remix made by a Finnish guy named Lenno. Its your first time that you can decide which one is better. I have no doubt, that listening to both of them will be a well spent 7 or so minutes. Its not the "Where have you been all my life" kind of song,  but more like a little red wild flower in a middle of a wheat field kind. It's a little different. Enjoy....

Touched or untouched?

Someone somewhere tonight

Kellie Pickler the girl in the "Red high heels", or on the dance floor of the Dancing with the stars, is out with a new ballad, that can be a "Song of the Year" contender at the CMA and ACM Awards. The song was geniously written by Walt Wilkins and Davis Raines. It appeared on Wilkins' album Mustang Island but after listening to some people who also "covered" it, out of all the versions I must admit, Kellie nails it. It just simply suits her. Kenny Rogers, come on, it's like it sounds so good, you think who would dare to touch it. When you listen to Kellie's version you realize that it's meant to be. Her voice perfectly matches the song and gives a  heartwarming depth to it.  It "is such a special song and honestly, it is my favorite song I've ever cut and released. It's so real and its so true and it means something and I think people need to hear it." Kellie Pickler
Isn't that country is - should be - all bout?

"Trouble" The album (almost) review

There's a band called Randy Rogers Band. They play country, well not that Taylor Swift kind. Don't get mad now, I'm not saying anything bad about Taylor, she is a great songwriter and singer, I just don't think she's country (enough). Well Randy Rogers had an amazing song "In my arms instead" a while back. And guess what... they have a new album out. Jay Joyce produced the album, he worked with Eric Church and on Little Big Town's Tornado. The first single of the album was "One more sad song" which as the title suggests is not one of the happy songs "It's a sad true song of everyday life of a relationship coming to an end" as Randy puts it.

Their second single "Trouble knows my name " is one of my favorite. In this track they got together with a true legend Willie Nelson. Its Randy's and Geoffry Hills first song that they wrote together "in a back of the bus in Kansas City". According to Randy Rogers all the stories "featured" in the song are true. Mickey Raphael the genius on the harmonica in case you wondered.

Their latest single is "Fuzzy" As one of the band members puts it: "It's a little out of the box that what we normally do" and if you ask me they should do more out of the box like that. Totally can see the song featured in movie down south with Burt Reynolds coming out of his dusty trailer in dirty clothes from last night and sits in his now beat up Trans Am. "A lot of our songs are really serious, and we are not a really serious band, I think we party a lot and we like to go out to clubs and bars and have a good time." "Its probably a more of an accurate representation of who we are". Just some of the words the band members said about "Fuzzy"

And I have to mention "Flash flood" which just shows Jay Joyce touches all over on it, and as it turns out it's Randy Rogers favorite form that album.

And what's a country album without either trucks or guns. Well they cover the gun part with (a) "Shotgun" "It's two steppin' honky-tonk" That's classic good country right there. " If anybody ever questions, that Randy Rogers is counrty just pop on this song and push play because start to finsh it is old school, throwback, kick you in your teeth counrty ass music." As you can tell the boys done good. From slow sad songs, with lyrics that hits you right in the heart, to up beat "party" song they cover all of it Randy Rogers style. I wish in the future they do more "out of the box" stuff more songs of road stories, and "kick in your teeth country ass music".

Fashion advice of the week

Girls, when you are thinking about wearing it, one simple word: NEIN. Heidi Klum wore it once and even Seal divorced her.
